  1. Residence, curate and lecturer: I reside personally in my Parsonage House, & as my Infirmities will not permit me to do the Duty of my Church I have a resident Curate also at a Salary of £30.

  2. Other benefices: Besides the Portion of Tidcombe in this Church I have also the Rectory of Nymet Tracey als Bow in the Deanery of Chumleigh.

  3. Divine service at other churches: No.

  4. Frequency of divine service: Twice every Sunday with a Sermon at each time.

  5. Frequency of communion: Between two & three Hundred.

  6. Catechising of children: In the Summer months.

  7. Church fabric: Yes.

  8. Glebe terrier: There is one in the Court.

  9. Number of families: I do not know the Number the Town & Parish are so large & extensive.

  10. Chapels: There are two Chapels in the Town & another in the Portion of Pitt, That in the Town is served by the Rectors in rotation that in the Country by the Rector of Pitt only.

  11. Papists, dissenters and meeting houses: I have heard that there are twenty or thirty Papists in the Town. There are three dissenting Meeting Houses [illegible deletion] two of Presbyterians & one of Anabaptists. The Teachers are Messers Kiddell Follet & Sprague.

  12. School, alms-houses, hospital and charitable endowments: There are a Grammar School, Parochial Library, Hospital, Almshouses, a free School to teach Boys to read & write, a Charity School for 50 Boys & 40 Girls all of which are managed by the several Trustees which belong to them.

  13. Charity: More than can be named in this Space & are under the Care of their respective Trustees.

    Priest's orders and institution: Saml Newte was ordained a Priest Octr 11th 1741 & instituted to the Rectory of the Portion of Tidcombe in the Church of Tiverton July 13th 1742.
